It's Adult Learners week so come along to Canolfan Maerdy.......
..... and all are welcome to join the Hope Church, Garnant at Tairgwaith Community Centre on Friday and Saturday for a fun filled 2 days organised by Hope Church in Garnant.

After several years of successful operation in the field of design, SCAE has developed into an industrial organization, quickly establishing itself on the domestic and foreign markets, thanks to its rich experience, specialization and continuous research activities, technological development and updating of replica watches.

Its Adult Learners week and there are open days at Canolfan Maerdy.
Free tea and coffee and a chance to try out, request or put your name against a course or some training. We have tasters and courses from Tai Chi to Life Coaching. One of the options will be cycle maintenance which if it takes off could lead to an accredited course in more detailed aspects. There is also a Wales Academy 'Rock School' on the Saturday - learn an instrument and an opportunity to play in a band at Tairgwaith Club in the evening. All welcome - please spread the word.

Hope Church, part of the Swansea Valley Bible Church (SVBC) family of churches, is holding a 2 day event in the Tairgwaith Community.

Friday 20th June
Morning: A day of kindness, when members of the team will assist anyone within the community needing help with any household jobs, such as lawn-mowing etc.
Afternoon: Tea & Cakes, based at the Community Centre, where people can come along for a free drink, cake and chat with us.
Evening: A kid's club event (for those of primary school age)

Saturday 21st June
Community Fun Day, involving the following:

FREE BBQ, with burgers, hotdogs, cakes, squash, tea & coffee being served (all free of charge)
Bouncy Castle for children, and Sumo Wrestling for teenagers (and adults!)
Weightlifting competition, hosted by Champion Lift (this is a fun event, gently competitive, and aimed at both guys and girls, and for those of all ages)
Other Fun games & competitions for the family
A brief presentation of live music and stories from members of the church (at moderate volume!)
